This is a great opportunity to come along for an informal workshop to help you gain confidence in working with the media in tax – both national/local press and social media. The workshop, led by Tina Riches, now at TaxAid, who has worked in tax media at both the CIOT and Smith & Williamson, will be followed by drinks and networking with peers working in tax in the local area (both practise and industry).
Please feel free to forward the details to anyone that may be interested and please share on linkedIn etc – Men and Women welcome, the more the merrier!
Thanks to PEM
The Cambridge committee (Claire, Sally, Fiona, Kat) are looking forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.
“Thames Valley Women In Tax” breakfasts – Our breakfast events provide a unique opportunity to meet other tax professionals from across industry, the profession, academia and HMRC in an informal setting. It is a chance to share experiences, find out about different roles and discover that we all deal with common problems – just from different perspectives! Please do drop in between 8.30am and 9.30am to catch up with friends and colleagues, and make new contacts.
The Chancellor has promised an extra £20bn for the NHS – but how should we fund that? Should the Government raise taxes, and if so which ones?
Our panel, led by Helen Miller of the IFS and with contributions from Anita Charlesworth of the Health Foundation, Rhiannon Kinghall-Were of Macfarlanes and Sophie Lloyd of Travers Smith, will give their views, followed by Q&A.
All are welcome to this event – it is not a women-only space!
Registration from 530pm and the debate will start at 6pm
Thanks to Travers Smith for hosting and for refreshments afterwards https://www.traverssmith.com/
