On Wednesday 20 March Helen Thornley will give a talk about the Women’s Tax Resistance League – part of the Suffragist movement.
Helen gave this talk in London in 2018 and it was a huge success – we are very pleased that she is able to repeat the event in Scotland.
Tickets available on Eventbrite
Jim was Vice President of Oil & Gas Tax in Royal Dutch Shell and had responsibility for Diversity & Inclusion communications in Shell Global Finance until his retirement in 2017. With the kind permission of Shell, and acting on a pro bono basis, he runs a module as part of Edinburgh University’s MBA programme on how to manage Diversity & Inclusion and his talk to us will be a shorter version of that.
The talk will cover:
• The business case for Diversity & Inclusion
• Which groups to target
• Mentoring and sponsorship
• Flexible working
• Engaging the majority
• Unconscious bias
• Measuring success
