Our third Annual Dinner will be held on Thursday 28 June 2018 at St Martin-in-the-Fields, London. The speaker this year will be Vanessa Houlder.
Vanessa, a member of the Lex team on the FT, has been with the paper since 1988 and spent over a decade as its chief tax writer covering a wide range of UK and international tax policy and avoidance issues. She has been the Lexis Nexis tax writer of the year and was one of the ITR’s Global Tax 50 in 2015.
Tickets are priced at £100 each and include a 3-course dinner with wine. A limited number of corporate tables are also available – please contact our Treasurer, Sarah Prior email@example.com to book a table.
Thanks to sponsorship by Brewer Morris http://www.brewermorris.com/uk/ we are also able to offer a discount of £25 to the under-30s and anyone who is a student or works for a charity.
The Chancellor has promised an extra £20bn for the NHS – but how should we fund that? Should the Government raise taxes, and if so which ones?
Our panel, led by Helen Miller of the IFS and with contributions from Anita Charlesworth of the Health Foundation, Rhiannon Kinghall-Were of Macfarlanes and Sophie Lloyd of Travers Smith, will give their views, followed by Q&A.
All are welcome to this event – it is not a women-only space!
Registration from 530pm and the debate will start at 6pm
Thanks to Travers Smith for hosting and for refreshments afterwards https://www.traverssmith.com/
